I think it's worse than that, there needs to be an incentive for businesses to own and support it for non-enthusiasts.

Perhaps unprofitability is a feature, not a bug.

Individuals can choose to seed content they care about (given an effective UI), which means the content will be available as long as enough people care about it. “Enough” does need to be a sufficiently small number.


I disagree. I don't want a large company controlling most of the IPFS nodes.
