Google’s iOS apps haven’t been updated in weeks, as of December 8 (fastcompany.com)

This article is the equivalent of gossip magazines saying some random celebrity died because they haven't been seen in a week.

FFS. Google has a holiday freeze through December. We're in a pandemic, so they probably just halted app rollouts as well.

The pandemic hasn't stopped Google from releasing app updates. They have historically had a freeze period during holidays, but you can go through the version history on the iOS app store and see that they manage to update their apps several times per month during other periods of the pandemic during 2020.

Google might as well apply every possible label to every app they publish just to piss Apple off.

I mean, people who care enough to check the labels will know what google collects already.

No labels yet on their apps.

I don’t buy it for a second. Facebook updated, and one of them, (I think it was Messenger), they just went through and checked every single box, because they know as well as Google that most people just don’t care.

Updating Google Authenticator was probably the best gift to us before they had a break.

Maybe we will see google and IOS merge to help consumers
