Yes, I used to use some LinkedIn sales tools that had automated follow ups. Same with recruiter emails, if you think they're handcrafting each email, I have bad news for you. It's all templated, they use your first name and maybe put some effort into the intro using your specific company and experience, but generally, the rest of the intro email and the subsequent emails are all automated.
