Billions of dollars to cram "AI" down our throats, but they can't be bothered to get Excel back up to the level of quality and performance it had 20 years ago.
One thing that has continued to baffle me about Excel is the fact that they force worksheet tabs and the scrollbar to co-exist in the same pane. Why in the world can I not have a full horizontal scrollbar and a full width tab collection?
Imagine the crass software quality of an AI startup on top of 30+ years of legacy code. That's Copilot+PC for you, boys. Enjoy it to the fullest when your company IT sends it your way.
I assume (without any evidence) that excel is basically mothballed / offshored other than the occasional LET and LAMBDA type of deal every now and again
