Since you’re a parent, then I’m going to take it a lot more seriously. I’ll reflect on how AI might help in my own parenting.

Well, it's early days of AI. But I can already get some help. My oldest child is in high school, and my wife and I can help him with math and coding. But when it comes to biology, or ELA, or history, our help is quite limited. And in these situations AI can be a real help. Of course, you still need to get involved as a parent, otherwise the kid is tempted to just copy/paste the ChatGPT answers.
