I don't see why it was needed if they've got a legitimate case. You file the suit, lay out your evidence, and that's about it. How is this video supposed to help? Are we supposed to start a kickstarter for this guy to give him money to pursue the lawsuit?

It's to encourage Tesla to settle so that he stops producing negative publicity.

The presence of the videos perhaps gives you a hint about what the case is really about. And it's probably not about the car.
